Q. My thing has got scratches on it ?

If it’s just arrived then we’ve probably put those scratches there deliberately to make it look like it’s been through the wars. It’s supposed to look like it’s over 100 years old so we will have taken a lot of time and effort to add the odd dent, bruise, scratch, scrape, scuff, gouge, blemish, laceration, etc to add wear and tear to it.

If you’ve accidentally dropped it on the floor and it hasn’t smashed to smithereens then congratulations - you’ve added an authentic scratch or dent to it and it will hopefully get a lot more over the next 100 years or so to make it even more realistic.
