Q. Are they painted ?
Once the model is assembled it’s all painted, painted again, touched up with a bit more paint, painted again, painted a bit more, touched up yet again with even more paint, and then constantly dabbed with a bit of paint here and there to get that ‘just right’ aged look. All done by hand.
A great deal of time and effort goes into making it look old. We also hand wax, polish and seal the items too so don’t be alarmed if the ‘finish’ changes over time or you rub off some of the polish -
